Mahogany Wood Balusters

This client had a standard wrought iron hand rail painted white. They wanted a child gate and something to warm up the room. I decided on framing the space to highlight the shape of the opening. I split the rails with ebony pegs and gave them a fairly random pattern to create a tapestry of soft curves.
